Reflect & Re-flow

Therapy that gets to the roots

Psychodynamic Counselling & Psychotherapy in Vancouver for anxiety, relationships, and understanding yourself more deeply.

You don’t have to figure it out alone

Let’s have a conversation about  how I can help.

You’ve tried managing it. Staying positive. Pushing through. But the same patterns keep showing up — in your relationships, your work, your sense of self. You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Rooted in psychodynamic and attachment-based therapy, our work together goes beneath the surface to find lasting change, not just better coping.

Psychotherapy that gets to the roots

At Anaitis Counselling, I offer a therapy that helps you understand your inner world.

In this style of therapy, we gently become curious about our daily experiences, thoughts, emotions, dreams, and fantasies and discover our innermost emotions and the meanings behind them.

Psychodynamic therapy provides a space for us to discover and push aside adaptations that don’t serve us and live authentically and fearlessly.

Therapy that is tailored to your needs

I am not married to a modality, I choose an approach that works for you.

Research consistently shows that the best therapy is tailored to a particular person. One person needs a more directive, action-oriented therapy, and another needs insight and introspection from a sympathetic listener.

My approach is derived from decades of peer-reviewed studies on how to shape therapy to you, your needs, and your goals. Furthermore, regular case review and consultation helps me hone my skills and  double-check my work and your progress.

Hi! I am Malahat 👋

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor in Vancouver, BC (# 21215) and the owner of Anaitis Counseling & Therapy.

I am specialized in depth-oriented and attachment-informed approaches to therapy.

Therapy is not only a method. It is also a relationship.

In therapy, we explore our thoughts and feelings with curiosity rather than judgment. Often, change begins when long-standing beliefs are gently challenged by a different experience.

What you will find in our work together is a space that is:

• thoughtful

• emotionally grounded
• attentive to complexity

Insight becomes the foundation for change.
